Knowing What's Important

Not knowing what’s important
Is most important
There’s so much not to know
If I could forget the most important things
I might replace them with trivialities:
Wars, pandemics, collapse

This would upset the dog
But I must learn from her
She knows smells, food, sleep
Owns a sense of time
Not of time

Perhaps knowing is overdone
Ignorance, now ignorance
Just might keep you innocent
Provide lasting happiness
That’s important, no?
